Beyond the Headland

An original Swedish oil painting by Eva Bernholm, depicting a rocky shoreline opening toward quiet water beneath a soft gray-lavender sky. Broad, expressive brushwork moves through the foreground in muted greens, mauves and earthy neutrals, while the distant water brings a sense of openness to the composition.

Signed and dated 1993. Sourced in Sweden and presented in its vintage wood frame.

Why We Chose It

We loved the contrast between the rocky foreground and the quiet expanse of water beyond. Soft mauves, blue-grays and muted greens give the landscape an atmospheric quality, while Bernholm's loose brushwork keeps the small composition feeling wonderfully alive.
